Eagle Owl (private swap)

On January 27, 2011, Ella from Finland sent me a postcard with a baby Eagle Owl (Bubi bubo) from the Hannu Hautala Collection.

The largest owl in the world, the eagle owl, is nesting in Finland almost up to the timber line. After leaving its nest, still unable to fly, the baby eagle owl has already a fierce and burning gaze.
